Special projects are created out of curiosity -- trying to figure out a recipe, hoping to understand more about football or insurance. Little questions lead to fantastic information, and then a story.



This is how some interesting people at Northwestern Mutual were discovered.



It's also how a feature on the nature of the Cleveland Browns fan was written for a men's magazine. Having never before written about sports, passing up the opportunity simply wasn't an option.

Food Writing

A love of food, and everything having to do with food resulted in pages of copy in publications like The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and ultimately, an invitation to edit the Zagat Survey in the Cleveland and Columbus markets.
